กฎหลัก: ถ้าประธานเป็น เอกพจน์ → กริยาเติม -s
ถ้าประธานเป็น พหูพจน์ → กริยาไม่ต้องเติม -s

• I / You ใช้กริยาไม่เติม -s เช่น I like, You speak
• ประธานเชื่อมด้วย and ถือเป็นพหูพจน์ เช่น Tom and Jerry are funny.
• คำลงท้ายด้วย -body, -one, -thing เช่น Everyone wants ถือเป็นเอกพจน์
